The Val Marie Maintenance Building was delivered using a design build approach with the project consisting of 8400 ft2 on the main level and 1800 ft2 on the mezzanine.  The main purpose of the building was to store the fire-fighting equipment and act as a command center when major fires occur in the Grasslands National Park.  The building is steel structure with a metal cladding exterior, concrete slab on grade for the main floor and a wood frame structure for the mezzanine level.
