The new Neonatal Special Care Unit project comprises of selective demolition and renovations of an approximate 5,000sf of existing space within Prince Albert’s Victoria Hospital.
The work involves the development of a new neonatal patient ward and nursing station, as well as the construction of a new public elevator shaft and lift with the corridors of the working hospital.
The new 4,000 sq ft neonatal patient ward will provide 11 fully equipped caring rooms for our little ones, a comfortable waiting room for their families, and a new nursing station.
The renovation took place while the hospital remained fully operational. We coordinated with SHA’s project manager and the management and stafrf of Victoria Hospital to ensure that the hospital’s operations are not affected by our work in any way. This was cruicial especially that the work started and was completed during the Covid pandemic when Saskatchewan hospitals was dealing with the surges of Covid patients.
