The City of Regina Fire Education and Training Facility Renovation project consisted of interior and exterior renovations to the existing facility and neighboring tower.
Exterior renovations included complete replacement of the exterior metal cladding on the building. Exterior lighting, painting and windows were also replaced. Interior renovations included removal of existing asbestos, installation of new insulation throughout exterior wall cavities, flooring replacement as well as mechanical and electrical upgrades.
For the neighboring Training Tower, structural lateral bracing was provided, masonry units were stabilized and repointed, and a new guardrail and tie-off post was added for rappelling training.
